The presence of N-acetylhistidine, N-acetyl-1-methylhistidine, N-acetylcarnosine, N-acetylhomocarnosine, homocarnosine, anserine, carnosine and balenine in heart was confirmed, and these compounds were found in both tissue and perfusate.
